8. Which pairs of test nations compete for: (a) The Wisden Trophy, (b) The Frank Worrell Trophy, and (c) The Basil D’Oliveira Trophy?

9. Rank these cricket journalists by the number of test matches they played for England, in descending order (ie, most first). Steve James, Simon Hughes, Vic Marks, Jonathan Agnew.

10. Its occasional twentieth century exponents include Hedley Verity, Jack Iverson and Mike Brearley, and it was – probably – last deployed in first-class cricket by Oxford University’s Phil Gerrans in 1990. Since 2000 it has been illegal unless agreed by the captains in advance. What?
